• Create your own rainbows and learn that white light is actually made up of different colours!

• Examine the screens of phones using microscopes: and observe how different colours combine to become white light.

• Learn that plants only absorb some colours of light for photosynthesis: they reflect the other colours.

• Understand that the sun emits ultraviolet light. We can block UV light with sunblock lotion.

• Carry out an experiment to show that black objects absorb more light energy compared to white objects. That is why wearing a black shirt under a hot afternoon sun is not a good idea!
